ISTI explicitly affirms, honors, and values the historic and ongoing work of Bible institutes and Bible schools, where they have faithfully equipped generations of pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and church leaders for practical ministry. These institutions remain essential to the life and mission of the Church, providing accessible, church-centered, and spiritually formative training at the grassroots level.
At the same time, the increasing complexity of ministry in the twenty-first century—along with the demands of leadership development, theological reflection, academic accountability, and global collaboration—has created a growing need for advanced theological education that is formally structured and offered through accredited academic frameworks. ISTI exists not to replace Bible institutes or Bible schools, but to serve as a complementary pathway, offering progression, articulation, and expansion beyond foundational training.
Functioning as an academically focused theological education initiative with clearly defined academic authority and programmatic responsibility, ISTI maintains its own educational identity, academic vision, and programmatic direction, while operating with the legal, financial, and organizational accountability provided by DiscipleLead Ministries. This structure allows ISTI to pursue long-term academic integrity, institutional stability, and missional effectiveness.
Central to ISTI’s educational model is a commitment to strategic partnerships with accredited theological institutions. Rather than duplicating existing accredited programs or functioning as a degree-granting institution, ISTI collaborates intentionally with recognized seminaries, Bible colleges, and universities to extend accredited or accreditation-aligned ministerial training into Spanish-speaking contexts. Through these partnerships, ISTI serves as a bridge and facilitating platform, helping translate advanced theological education into formats that are linguistically accessible, culturally contextualized, and compatible with ongoing ministry responsibilities.
